Situation:One of our Clients is a firm of solicitors and as is perhaps becoming more common in the UK, a snow storm prevented most of the team of 130 staff (and 40 fee earners) from getting to the office one morning. As one might expect, disaster recovery was a big part of business continuity and one phone call from a representative of this law firm saw Verbatim move into action. |

Task:To immediately take over and manage all incoming phone calls to our client and do so until the outlook was clearer or we received further instructions. |

Action:A (stand up) project meeting was immediately called by Verbatims head of dept where details of the challenge were shared and staff embraced the urgent nature of the challenge. All the company’s calls were answered in the Client company’s name as usual, calls were put through directly to the person being called and messages sent by email and SMS! |

Result:Not a single caller realised there was any difference, all staff got their phone calls or messages. The practice continued working seamlessly and most staff had no idea of the change until they were told – the following week!
