Circumstance:Sometimes when business is good it’s easy to miss the obvious and sales at one of our small business clients were buoyant. The challenge was that our Client used a single phone line and answering machine for his orders upon which some people left a message but it seems many calls (hence orders) were lost. |

Assignment:Was for Verbatim (the phone answering service) to seamlessly take calls whenever our Client’s phone line was busy or not answered and he used call divert also. In this way it was hoped that the few calls or perhaps orders he missed would be converted by a higher proportion of customers feeling they were being looked after better. |

Conclusion:Given our Client was acting on a “feeling” he missed calls, the results were dramatic as more calls came through than anyone expected and for a small outlay sales were up by 30%. And our Client? Well not only pleased but able to give himself a salary increase! |
